Card fraud rises globally: one in three consumers fall victim

Card fraud rates are on the rise in many parts of the world despite the widespread adoption of fraud analytics solutions by financial institutions and retailers, along with EMV in most countries, according to a new global from ACI Worldwide and Aite Group.

Breach at Shiseido unit likely led to data leak on 420,000 shoppers

December 3, 2016 (Mainichi Japan)

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Japanese cosmetics maker Shiseido Co. said Friday that the online store run by subsidiary IPSA Co. has suffered illegal access and that personal information on about 420,000 customers may have leaked as a result.

The data included the customers' names and addresses, but credit card information on up to around 56,000 of the customers may also have leaked, Shiseido said, adding the company has already reported the case to police and ...
